Seven mistakes that slow Canespro treatment down

Skipping the soak

Ten minutes in warm water before scraping is not optional — it is what makes softened nail come away cleanly.

Applying too little ointment

A thin smear dries out within hours. Use a thick layer that covers the whole diseased area.

Letting the plaster get wet

If the plaster lifts in the shower, replace it immediately rather than waiting for the next day.

Scraping healthy nail

If it hurts or resists, stop. Only softened, diseased nail should come away.

Stopping too early

Any remaining infected nail can reseed the infection. Remove all of it.

Ignoring athlete's foot

Treat the surrounding skin at the same time or the nail will simply be reinfected.

Reusing old footwear untreated

Spores survive in shoes for months. Disinfect or replace.
